Madi Restaurant

Our biggest dining venue at Ellaidhoo Maldives by Cinnamon, Madi’s sandy floors keep you connected to the island while your taste buds travel the world. Great continental buffet style meals are served at breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Seanic Cafe & Bar

Seanic refers to the horizon at sunset – possibly due to its location being the perfect vantage point to view the sun go down to meet the horizon each evening. The restaurant and bar are located close to the water bungalows for the convenience of our guests.

Our dive centre offers snorkeling, night snorkeling, scuba diving, dolphin and turtle watching and a series of PADI certifications around the year. For the avid sports fisherman or enthusiast, we offer deep sea fishing, sunrise fishing, sunset fishing and big game fishing. Our oceans are teaming with marlin, yellow fin tuna and more for your rod & reel to discover. Don’t have your own gear? Worry not, we always have extras!

Go souvenir hunting and immerse yourself in Maldivian life with the island-hopping excursions we offer, taking you to the many neighbouring island villages in proximity to Ellaidhoo.

Yes, we do excellent seafood and an imaginative selection of international cuisine at all our restau- rants, but how about we set up something special for just the two of you? We have multiple dining options across the island that include a champagne breakfast on your private sun deck, romantic beach dinner, lover’s deck, 4-course lobster dinner and even on a dhoni floating across the ocean. Diving School

Plunge right into paradise with Dive & Sail our diving school and canoeing centre. Dive & Sail who have been operating the dive and water sports centre at Ellaidhoo since 2006 also offer canoeing, snorkeling, boat dives and all levels of PADI certification courses. This centre comes with excellent dive instructors and guides who will lead you to the caves and colours that exist just off our resort decks. Jump in, dive down and discover our house reef, an altogether different kind of paradise.

Giving You a Heads Up

Ensuring you have a safe and pleasant stay is important to us. It is also good to keep in mind some general safety rules to avoid any unforeseen incidents. To help you navigate the island and our country in the best possible way, we have provided a list of guidelines to make your stay the perfect one. We are always at your service to ensure your safety and happiness. Do reach out to us if you need anything. As a general rule, please follow the following guidelines to stay safe wherever you are in the hotel.

Be diligent and always note exits and emergency procedures of the building where you are in. The fire exits on your floor are clearly marked.


A little something you should know

Carefully read the fire exit plan, displayed on the rear of your room door.

Locate the extinguisher & alarm nearest to your room.

We recommend you study the fire & tsunami evacuation & assembly points of the hotel.


General Guidelines

Do not smoke in bed.

Do not throw smoldering material into the wastebasket.

Disconnect all electrical appliances after use.

Cooking in the room is strictly prohibited.


In Case of Fire

Call the Telephone Operator or Reception immediately (Ext.0 or 701).

If it is a minor fire, use the nearest available extinguisher.

If it is a major fire, please leave the area quickly, taking the room key with you.

Please go directly to the nearest fire assembly point.

Stay calm.

Accommodation

Children should be supervised on balconies/sundecks.

Do not climb or stand on balcony furniture. Keep all balcony furniture away from the railings.

Take care in bathrooms as condensation & water spray can make the surface slippery


Beach / Snorkelling

Take care when snorkelling & swimming: be aware of rip currents & strong tides.

Never swim alone, make sure there are other people around you.

Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Swimming at night is not recommended.

Snorkelling alone is not recommended.


Condensation and AC Operation

To avoid condensation, do not keep balcony door open while air conditioning is switched on

Wear Coral shoes while out at sea

It is prohibited to damage / remove coral from the ocean and is punishable by the Maldivian Law

Do not touch / step on coral

Sea Swimming

Beware of strong currents & submerged rocks

Advised to wear life vests while snorkeling / swimming

Advised to stay close to the shoreline while swimming

Nude bathing is prohibited and punishable by the Maldivian Law

Beware of dangerous fish

It is prohibited to damage / remove coral and fish from the ocean and is punishable by the Maldivian Law

Pets

Pets are not allowed in our property.

A Few House Rules

Resident guests shall not be permitted to entertain non-resident guests in their rooms.

Non- resident guest including visitors of resident guest may only be permitted to use the facilities of the hotel subject to the prior approval of the Management.

The guest shall not use the hotel for any illegal purpose or act in a manner which may cause a nuisance to the hotel or any of its occupants. They shall indemnify and hold harmless the hotel from any damage, liability or loss caused by any such action. The hotel reserves the right to require the removal of any goods or person from the premises of the hotel without assigning any reason therefore.

Any loss of or damage to hotel property owing/ attributable to any act or omission of a guest shall be charged to the guest’s bill.

Any facilities / services (including the use of the Spa, Dive Centre, Shop etc) made available or recommended by the hotel and availed of by the guest shall be at the guest’s own expense (if any) and risk. The hotel shall not be liable in respect of any damage or injury suffered by the guest in this regard. Activities / services provided by third parties operating in the hotel will be availed of by guests at their own risk and expense.

The Guest is required to return all room keys before departure. Failure to do so or damage to the keys shall result in the cost of replacement of locks and other losses incurred by the Hotel, being charged to the account of the Guest.

Whilst the Hotel shall always endeavor to provide the Guest with the best service possible, it shall not be responsible for failure to perform its obligations caused by war, riots, civil disorder, earthquake, fire, explosion, storm, flood, tsunami or other adverse weather conditions, strikes, lockouts or other industrial action, confiscation or other action by government agencies or such other event beyond the control of the Hotel.

Guests staying on an all-inclusive basis will be required to pay for:

(i) All imported liquor
(ii) Food and beverage from the a` la carte menu, food and beverage from the Pool Bar Menu
(iii) Special food and beverage promotions conducted by the Hotel at a supplementary charge
(iv) Room Service
(v) bills incurred by any non-resident guests visiting the Guest


and/or such other charges as the Hotel may notify.

Guests shall not use the Safety Deposit Box for any illegal purpose or for the deposit of any goods of an explosive or dangerous or offensive nature or which may cause harm, loss, damage or nuisance to the Hotel or to any of its occupants.

The Guest expressly agrees that he/she is using the locker at his/her own volition and risk and that the Hotel shall not be liable to account or be responsible to the Guest or to any other person for the goods so deposited.
